出生於香港。2014年畢業於香港演藝學院舞蹈學院（榮譽）學士學位課程，主修現代舞及編舞。在校期間曾獲頒獎學金如匯豐銀行慈善基金—香港與內地學生交流獎學金、演藝學院友誼社獎學金等。此外，她還獲城市當代舞蹈團贊助前往北京舞蹈雙週演出。近年來熱愛參與各類藝術表演、比賽及編舞工作，例如舞蹈、戲劇、音樂表演等。近來的合作藝術家及團體包括黃煒丹、羅雅詩、阮日廣、桑吉加、梅卓燕、陳敏兒、香港中樂團、不加鎖舞踊館、動藝、優之舞、演駅、be. Dance International、Performcrew、Zeekers Danz等。現為自由身表演工作者、編舞及導師。
Karen Swinton Young was born in Hong Kong. She was graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hon) in Dance from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2014, majoring in contemporary dance and choreography. During her studies, she was awarded several scholarships such as The Hong Kong Bank Foundation Hong Kong-Mainland Exchange Scholarship etc. Besides, she was sponsored by City Contemporary Dance Company to perform in the Beijing Dance Festival.
Recently she is enthusiastic about different art forms of performance, such as Dance, Drama and Music. In this few years, the artists or companies that she co-operated with including: Dam Van Huynh, Laura Aris Alvarez, Sang Jijia, Mui Cheuk-yin, Chan Man Yee, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Unlock Dancing Plaza, Danceart, La P en V Innovative Dance Platform, ActKi, be. Dance International、Performcrew、Zeekers Danz etc. She is now working as a freelance performer, choreographer and instructor.
